ArachnoCon North 2010 took place from June 25-27 in Mississauga, ON. It was an event designed to allow arachnid enthusiasts to meet, socialize and learn from each other.
On Friday there was a trip to the Toronto Zoo, including a behind-the-scenes tour of the invertebrate rearing facility. In the evening everyone got together for a social at the hotel. Saturday was filled with six fantastic lectures, the details of which can be found on the "lectures" page. In the evening there was a raffle and quiz followed by some socialization. Sunday we attended the Mississauga Reptile Expo, located just down the road from the hotel.
Reviews of the event were overwhelmingly positive and plans have already begun for ArachnoCon North 2011. I would like to thank Tarantula Canada, Arachnoboards, Hamilton Reptile and Mike Lawliss for donating prizes for the raffle and quiz. I would also like to thank Tamara for helping me run the event and everyone who attended for making it such a memorable event.
